Taso Advisory is a UK technology policy consultancy. We work with some of the most exciting technology businesses in the world, from fast-growing scaleups to listed businesses. We pride ourselves on giving valuable advice to clients who come to us for support on the issues that matter most to them.
We work with our clients to understand and manage their political, regulatory and policy challenges and opportunities. We spend our time thinking about and working on areas such as online safety, digital competition, data protection, artificial intelligence and more. We make sure our clients know what’s going on, what it means for them, and how they can best prepare for and engage with it.
We are a new and growing consultancy. We are building a business for the long term, and colleagues have significant room to shape and grow the business and their careers.
About the role
This is the first policy comms hire at Taso Advisory. It is a senior role with significant opportunity to help build a fast-growing business. It will suit someone who is entrepreneurial,can work without direction, and who wants to build a function from scratch.
The right candidate will be someone who loves tech policy and politics, and the communications challenges and opportunities each presents. They will have a keen interest in how these issues are covered and communicated in the media - both traditional and social - and will be adept at applying their insight to commercial challenges. You’ll want to build, grow and protect our clients’ reputations to policymakers and the public. If you like thinking about the future of tech policy and digital regulation, and what it means, then this is the place for you.
You will work across client accounts, both on your own and with colleagues to deliver tailored and high quality advice and support to clients.
Client management - Our clients are smart people working on thorny issues at brilliant companies. You’ll provide clients with both strategic and tactical advice, and inspire their trust. You will be responsible for ensuring that our clients’ needs are met, and that their businesses can continue to succeed.
Tech comms - You will be a subject matter expert in tech and policy comms. You will be able to advise clients and colleagues on the communications challenges and opportunities presented by online safety, competition, data protection, and more. You’ll enjoy thinking about and debating what businesses should be saying about protecting their users.
Business development and growth - We want to give more great advice to more brilliant clients. You’ll play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and showing those prospects why we’re the people to help.
About you
What we offer
We offer a competitive salary, Enterprise Management Incentives, discretionary bonus and benefits package. That includes a 5% employer contribution pension and private medical and dental. All of our team receive a generous annual learning and development budget. You can use that for anything that will be useful to you at work.
New business wins are incentivised with uncapped commission.
You will have 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays and a day for your birthday. We enjoy regular social activities.
